Adan is a supporter of non-voilent direct action, that means no danger to any individual except the activist. It requires a sence of intellagence to understand environmental problems and this same sence should be utilised when considering actions, we do not wish to be as unaware as the governments and companies doing the destructing. A forest contractor (logger) is following a set of rules made by the governments and it is the rules that need to be changed. It is rarely appropriate merely to disable his machinery as another machine or contractor will be brought in. The machines are not owned by forestry and it is forestry and the government that we want to hit and hit them hard.
Direct action is potentially dangerous. Forestry, Contractors and the Police must be previously informed about some actions. Many actions have to be clearly marked. You dont want a contractor barreling down a forest road in the morning twilight, comming round a bend and being confronted with an unavoidable pile of large rocks and tree limbs (Scrubbing). Essentially an action is to stop work or obtain media attention and we do not want to cause physical harm to anyone and it is the activists responsibility to ensure this.
