'Ecology' - as business,

Aims and Objectives

Environmental standards

Establish Ecology's credibility in high environmental, ethical and quality standards of goods and services. Access the market opportunity presented by the 'green market'. Raise consumer awareness and concern for environmental issues, and encourage their support for ecological values in consumer practices.

Ethics and fair trade

Development of fair and equitable means to link economic and environmental values, through the development of mutually beneficial relationships with all segments of the community. Development of legal and economic structures, which are able to provide reasonable return on investment, be it financial, or personal effort, dividends, wages and so forth.

Ecological production

Develop ecologically sustainable production and industry through developing the potential of all fibres, particularly hemp. Hemp has a diverse high quality product range and in combination with other environmentally friendly crops (e.g. indigenous crops, straw, clumping bamboo, organic food and herbs) has the potential to fulfill a range of human needs including; paper; textiles; building products; food; oil; even plastics, fuel and medicine. A non-toxic and environmentally friendly product range could be produced locally as early as next year.

Ecological alternatives

Actively research and develop environmentally and socially friendly alternatives to many of the deleterious practices, processes and products currently in use.

Communications and information

Develop efficient communications, information collection / consolidation / compilation, and decision making mechanisms - inherent and under development, - for the ongoing operation of Ecology®, and for the provision of consultancy services and marketable reference sources.

Health

Research and increase understanding of public health and methods of healing. Liase with government and legal authorities to promote legal status and benefits of hemp and other ecological alternatives.

Ecological E-trade

Establish retail and marketing operations, online information database, and brokerage services for growers, processors and industrial users. Utilize the potential of the internet to access large general and niche markets. Import and supply environmentally friendly product range, develop the green marketplace, and work to replace imports with locally produced goods.

Distribution mechanisms

Develop appropriate distribution methods and facilities as required, including retail outlets.
