• Maximise preservation of our forests for their intrinsic value, as well as economic benefit. And for the protection of the environment, the water supply and bio-diversity.
• Active and effective regeneration of forests.
• Community and regional involvement in ecological modernization of primary production and industry.
• Selective logging, plantations and radial sawing replace clear-felling, for the supply of sawlogs/whole timber, and to be value-added within the region.
• The development of alternative non-wood based products of high quality in an environmentally friendly fashion.
• The development of a functional, ecological agrifibre industry to assist in achieving the above aims.
